When creating and managing your organization's Documents for production, you may find that many different files will be needed for each. For example, if you are creating Invoices for one department and perhaps notification letters for another, you will need to store all of these files (and their versions) in one location specific to that document. In Ecrion Omni System, you will create Projects and Folders to manage all of the Files, Settings, and much more for each type of Document you are trying to create.
What's the difference between a Project and a Folder?
A Project represents a specific folder that is used in production to produce your documents. Folders can be used to organize files and projects. For example, within a Project, you may wish to create several Folders for the different types of assets needed for this Project. Often, you may want to create a folder containing all of your Building Blocks, images, or input sources. Folders allow you to organize your content in this capacity. A Project, specifically, provides the capability to create a Workflow which will be used to render your documents and perform other operations when the Job is triggered.
This section of the help documentation will help you understand all of the options that are available so you can effectively create and manage Projects in Ecrion Omni System. To assist with this, you can find help on Projects in the following key areas:
Working With Projects - Find out how to work with Projects including creating and deleting projects.
Working With Files - Learn about uploading, deleting, and editing project files.
Working With Packages - Create packages of your project to preserve all project files in a single state.
