Data Retrieval tasks are used to tell Ecrion Omni System where to obtain the data that will be used by your Workflow for document rendering, database operations, and even DITA and BI related tasks.  This section will highlight each available data task available to you when configuring your Workflows.  

Data Retrieval Tasks:

get-xml-data - Used to specify an XML data source uploaded to your project.

get-xml-data-from-folder - Used to tell Ecrion Omni System to look in a specific folder for your project's XML source file.

get-zip-data - Used to select an uploaded ZIP file as the main data source for your project.

get-dax-data - Used with the Data Aggregation Server, a DAX (Data Diagram) file is uploaded to the project and used to retrieve and aggregate data to be used by your project.

get-dita-data - Used for selecting a DITA file as the main data source for your project.

get-zip-dita-data - Used for selecting a ZIP containing a DITA file for your project's main data source.

split-xml - Used for splitting up an XML data source into sub XML files based upon a specified split xpath.
