The Application Bar is a commonly used component of the BI Publisher.  It allows you to easily access important functions related to a target object in your Document Template.  You will find this useful when working with tables and dynamic content where you would like to make a modification after inserting.

To use the Application Bar, simply right click on the object of your choice in the Design Surface.  You will notice the blue bar will be displayed at the bottom of your screen.  Here the Application Bar will provide you with quick access to related options for your target object.  You can select the function of your choosing to reveal further options.
