You will need to use Functions in your Data Diagrams to test and transform your data.  These helpful tools allow you to create expressions for testing and fine tune the data that resides in your data sources to produce the optimized data for your needs.  In this section, you will find helpful information on the available functions that you can choose from.  These function groups are highlighted in the sections below.

Math Functions - perform mathematical operations on your data.

Aggregate Functions - use aggregate functions to perform operations on entire data sets.

Conversion Functions - convert the data type of your current data with conversion functions.

Logical Functions - use logical functions to test your data and support conditions.

Miscellaneous Functions - other functions you can use in your data diagrams.

Date and Time Functions - use functions to perform operations on date and time fields.

String Functions - perform modifications to string values with string functions.
