Building Blocks

Overview: A Building Block is a type of element supported by XF Designer 2013 's ".xfc" file format which creates an external subdocument from an XSL-FO text fragment.

Accessing:

To create a Building Block a user must right click on a block item from the Navigation Bar an select the Create Building Block... option.

Note:

•	Not all elements can be transformed into Building Blocks.

The Create Building Blocks dialog box will be displayed. Here the user must select the path where the Building Block will be saved.

Managing Building Blocks

To manage Building Blocks the Building Blocks drop-down menu located in the Text group under the Insert tab must be used.

Previews of the available Building Blocks are displayed in the drop-down menu.

Building Blocks Folder Dialog

The Building Blocks Folder Dialog pops up when selecting the Manage Building Blocks button located in the Text group under the Insert tab and it allows the user to add folders and manage the available Building Blocks in groups.
