Before installing Ecrion Omni System, it is important that you ensure to review and comply with the following prerequisites.

NOTE: Although 64 bit Windows versions are preferred, Ecrion Omni System will run on both x86 and x64 architectures.

| • | IIS (Internet Information Services Manager) 7.0 or later (not IIS Express) |
IMPORTANT: You must install IIS first and then proceed to install .Net Framework 4.5.
Optional
| • | For processing DITA related tasks, Java 1.6 or later Java *64 bit* is mandatory when working with DITA tasks. |
Java memory consumption can easily exceed 4 GB for complex DITA tasks, and this is why a 64 bit memory architecture is required.
