An Input Parameter can be used to easily change the values passed to a function. the advantage is that its value can be modified by simply double clicking on its corresponding diagram from the working space. Also, when running a job with Data Aggregation Server (DAS), it is easier to modify it by entering its name, id and the new value.

 

In the example below, an input parameter named "Value" has been used for passing the index for the Single Result function.
