When you are designing your Document Template, you will frequently be using the Side Menu to gain access to all of the available options for including content in your document. The Design Guide section of the help documentation is here to help you understand what each of these options are, how to set them up, and common properties associated with each.  You can use the helpful sections below to reference specific options as you design your Document Template.  

 

Basic Elements - These elements include basic content objects that you can insert into your Document Template.

Dynamic Elements - These elements are content objects that are dependent upon your input data source and help you create an intelligent template design.

Styles - This section highlights the use of Styles to apply consistent and controlled formatting through the use of style sheets.

Pagination - This section is designed to assist you in working with such pagination options as defining Layouts and Page Sets.

Formatting - This section highlights the usage of the BI Publisher to apply Formatting to objects of your choosing.
