XF Template Wizard

Overview: This dialog can be used for applying settings related to Page Format and Layout, Header and Footer, Data Source to the XF Template document.

 

Accessing: There are multiple methods to display the dialog:

•pressing CTRL + N and then selecting the XF Template Wizard option
•selecting the New button located under the File tab and then the XF Template Wizard option

To display an option, it can be either selected or the Previous and Next buttons can be used for navigation.

To open the XF Template page the Finish button must be selected.

 

Page Format: The user can choose between multiple page formats: Letter, A4, A3 and A5. If none of the available options is desired, the page's size can be customized by selecting its Width and Height.

Page Layout: Page's orientation and margins can be customized according to the desired page layout.

Header and Footer: Header and/or footer can be assigned and Height values set for each of them.

Data Source: The data source that will be used when designing the template can be assigned. The user can choose from various formats: XML file, Data Architect file or XML with XSD (XML Schema).

XFD Wizard creates an XF Template with the options selected by the user. This type of document combines elements from XSLT and XSL-FO and can be loaded in Design View for editing.
