Working with Pages

Top  Print this topic

A dashboard can contain multiple pages which will be represented as tabs in your dashboard preview. This is useful if you would like to group your widgets based on your viewers' needs. For example, you may have a dashboard that is focused on sales performance over the last three years for your sales management team to make critical business decisions. Here you may want to create a page focusing on sales totals by region and also create an additional page focusing on sales totals by sales team member. Both of these pages will be a part of the same dashboard and may contain multiple widgets.

Usage

The pages in your dashboard will be listed in the Status Bar located at the bottom of the dashboard design view. To begin, you can either right click on the page tab or select the arrow to view your available options. You may first wish to rename your first page as exemplified below. Simply select Rename from the available options menu and type the text in the available field.

To Add an additional page, simply select the '+' button and a new page will be added.

To Move a page to change the order of appearance, select the page tab and from the actions options select to move left or right. Again this can also be accessed by right clicking on the page tab you wish to modify.

You can also notice in Figure 3 above that at any point you can delete the page of your choosing by selecting Delete from the actions options.

You should be aware of the page that you are currently designing. This will be represented in the BI Architect by a grey highlight to the page tab currently selected.
